The best time for a newborn photoshoot is within the first 1-20 days, as babies are typically sleepier and naturally settle into those adorable, curled-up poses. That said, if your baby is a little older, there's no need to worry — I’ll tailor the session to suit them perfectly. My style is simple and natural, focusing on capturing your baby's unique beauty at any age.

The ideal time to book is roughly a month before your due date. I offer a limited number of newborn sessions each month so if your baby arrives early or late, there's no need to worry — I'll happily reschedule your session to another date.
-
I usually allow 1.5 to 3 hours to ensure there's enough time for feeds, nappy changes, and soothing your little one. There's no time pressure — we go at your baby’s pace. Every session is unique because each baby is different, and I tailor the experience to capture those beautiful, natural moments.

For those adorable baby shots, it's best if they've had a feed in the studio just before we start. That way, they'll be nice and content, ready to nod off for those precious snaps.
-
A plain white baby grow is perfect for arrival. I have a selection of newborn outfits and wraps in the studio ready for you to choose from.
-
Before your newborn photoshoot I'll send you my Welcome Pack so that you can plan how to dress your whole family for your shoot. When it comes to dressing, let's keep it classic. Think neutral tones like charcoal, navy, or soft creams and beiges. We'll steer clear of any loud prints or stripes – simple is key to timeless portraits. It’s ideal for both parents and children to coordinate their outfits by choosing either dark or light colours

In your welcome email, you'll receive a link to a shared Google Drive folder, which we will both have access to. After the shoot, this is where you can review and select your images for editing.
Once you've made your selections, the editing process takes 1-2 weeks. Your final images will then be available for download from the same folder. If you've ordered prints, they typically take an additional 1-2 weeks after final approval and will be delivered to you by post.

It's best to avoid bold patterns, glitter, or dark colours. Choose classic, natural and neutral nails instead. Shots featuring your hands alongside your baby's tiny fingers and toes are beautiful, and keeping things simple helps ensure the focus remains on your little one.
